Lucy’s disability discrimination & constructive dismissal claim settled for £75,000
2 minute read

Lucy worked in a professional services role when she was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Despite her diagnosis, Lucy continued to work full-time and achieved all her professional targets. Her workload was dramatically increased however, due to numerous resignations within the department.
Lucy agreed to undertake the additional work, on the basis that she be paid commission, which her employer confirmed.
Despite this agreement, she was not paid the commission. Lucy queried this and her employer stated that despite their earlier assurances, commission would not be paid to her. This was an unlawful deduction of wages and undermined Lucy’s trust and confidence in her employer.
Lucy subsequently resigned from her role due to this breach.
