Easter Quiz at MTB in support of NSPCC

Ahead of the Easter break, the MTB staff took part in a charity quiz in support of the NSPCC on Wednesday 18th April.

The quizmaster, Karen Kerr from the NSPCC, had MTB staff scratching their heads over lunchtime as questions ranging from the names of Barbie’s boyfriend to the seven wonders of the ancient world put our general knowledge to the test. As the results were read out and the winners announced, the scoring was disputed in typical legal fashion.  Views were exchanged in relation to potential rule breaking and the awarding of ‘half points’  as no one was prepared to accept defeat.

After tensions eased and scores were counted, the proud winners were the team of Mary Cunningham and Lesley Jennings, with Carrie-Anne Graham coming in second after a narrow tie-break victory over Aleric Turtle in third.  Enda Lavery was the victor of the raffle, taking home an Easter hamper kindly provided by the NSPCC.

Most importantly, a total of £500.00 was raised for the NSPCC. NSPCC continues to carry out amazing work throughout the UK and we, at MTB, are proud that they are our chosen charity for 2019.
