Lisburn Half Marathon In aid of Friends of the Cancer Centre

McCartan Turkington Breen swapped legal arguments for running shoes and took on the Lisburn 10K and Half Marathon in aid of Friends of the Cancer Centre, our charity partner for 2026.

The event took place on what could only be described as a gloriously warm summer evening. While the sunshine was welcome, the combination of soaring temperatures and an abundance of hills quickly turned into a much sterner test than some had anticipated – particularly after our Senior Partner had confidently assured everyone that the course was “not hilly”.

Despite the challenging conditions, every member of the team crossed the finish line, encouraged by fantastic support from spectators and fellow runners.

Most importantly, the event was undertaken to raise funds for Friends of the Cancer Centre, a charity that provides invaluable support to those affected by cancer. The charity focuses on patient care, patient comfort, research and cancer awareness.

We are delighted that, thanks to the generosity of our clients, colleagues, friends and family, we have raised almost £4000 so far in support of Friends of the Cancer Centre.

If you would like to contribute to our fundraising efforts, there is still time to donate via JustGiving: McCartan Turkington Breen
