We asked Joanne some questions so that our current and future clients might get to know her better.
Tell us about your career to date.
Answer: I have dealt with Personal Injury claims on behalf of claimants for the vast majority of my career, having in the past worked for a couple of specialist Personal Injury practices in Belfast, including a large national Firm.
Why did you decide to become a solicitor?
Answer: Even at school I was very interested in the Legal system and how it worked. I knew that I wanted to pursue a people focused career and was attracted by the idea of being able to support and help others at what may very often be difficult times in their lives.
Why did you decide to specialise in Personal Injury law?
Answer: I find it hugely rewarding to be in a position to help those who have been unfairly injured due to others’ negligence. I am dedicated to supporting my clients, ensuring that they understand the process and are kept updated as to the progress of their claim. I am committed to achieving the best possible outcome for my clients and I gather great satisfaction from being able to assist my clients in this way.
What attracted you to this law firm?
Answer: I was attracted by McCartan Turkington Breen’s excellent reputation both in terms of producing outstanding results for its clients but also in terms of its fantastic client care. In addition, I related to the ethos of the Firm and its support of local charities and the local community.
What do you get up to outside of work?
Answer: I am kept busy acting as a taxi driver for my three teenage children. I also enjoy hiking and mountain walking (when I find the time!)
