We asked Jodie Dawkins some questions so that our current and future clients might get to know her better.
Tell us about your career to date.
I graduated from Queen’s University Belfast with an Honours Degree in Law before completing the IPLS Solicitor Course and qualifying as a solicitor. I joined McCartan Turkington Breen Solicitors as a trainee solicitor in September 2023, working in the civil litigation department, specialising in claims arising from road traffic accidents.
Why did you decide to become a solicitor?
I studied Law as it was a good degree to get, however once I started my degree, I realised the real-life impact that solicitors can have on people’s lives. I decided it was the career path for me as I wanted a job that would be fulfilling and would make a real difference for people in difficult situations.
Why did you decide to specialise in civil litigation?
Civil litigation has defined stages and milestones, which makes it satisfying to see a case move forward and reach a resolution.
What attracted you to this law firm?

What do you get up to outside of work?
Outside of work, my life revolves around my golden retriever puppy, Tilda! We enjoy taking her on walks and are blessed to live in a beautiful country with endless places to show her.
