MTB Charity Pub Challenge 2018
On Friday 17th June 2018, MTB held its annual Charity Pub Challenge in aid of NI Chest Heart and Stroke.
A total of 17 teams, each made up of 4 people, took to the streets of the Cathedral Quarter in an attempt to follow a series of clues and riddles leading them to their next pub. Points were scored for following the correct route, for getting a picture of your team of 4 in your designated pub (with a drink in hand!), and for getting a picture of your team at various landmarks and murals along the way. Points were docked if your team was not back in the host venue of The National Bar and Café by 6pm.
MTB entered 2 teams, one captained by Colin Mitchell and one captained by Rab McKay who was trying to redeem himself after finishing rock bottom at this event in the last 2 years! Rab recruited well and, with the help of fellow MTB colleagues Andrew Morrow, Enda Lavery and Marie-Anne McVeigh, his team finished as joint leaders with Simon Brien Estate Agents.
Simon Brien were victorious in the entertaining tiebreaker, meaning that Team MTB’s wait for the coveted crown of Charity Pub Challenge Winners continues.
A barbeque followed to end a day that everyone enjoyed, and it was all for a good cause!
