MTB Sponsored Andrew Wilson finishes T32 at The Open Championship

With the dust settling on The 148th Open Championship, which took place last week in Portrush, MTB Solicitors would like to congratulate England’s Andrew Wilson on his finish in T32 place with a score of 1 over par. We were extremely proud to sponsor Andrew in what was a fantastic event.

Andrew secured a place in The Open by winning the qualifying tournament at Notts Hollingwell Golf Club.  Speaking to MTB in the leadup to The Open, Andrew told us that “it was an extremely busy time and I am very thankful to my sponsors and to MTB Solicitors for agreeing to have your logo on my cap”.

Andrew did himself and his sponsors proud by not only making the cut for the weekend, ahead of some of the pre-tournament favourites and big names such as Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, but also to finish in a tie for 32nd place. His second round score of 67 was only bettered by 12 other players which, undoubtedly, is something which will give him a vast amount of confidence.

The Claret Jug was ultimately lifted by Irishman, and crowd favourite, Shane Lowry with an impressive 6 shots win over England’s Tommy Fleetwood in 2nd.

MTB Solicitors wish Andrew all the best for the future and hope that this great performance is only the beginning of a great golfing career ahead.
