VICTORY FOR MTB AT THE ADDICTION NI CHARITY GOLF DAY, BALMORAL GC
MTB Solicitors were honoured to participate in the Captain’s and Lady Captain’s charity day at Balmoral Golf Club yesterday in aid of the superb local Charity Addiction NI. Marie-Anne McVeigh and Brian Turkington of the firm were joined by guests and part-time golfers John Magee of Aubrey Campbell Accountants and Will Miscampbell of Fetherston Clements Estate Agents. Turns out we created quite the fourball! Indeed, despite our best attempts to show one another throughout the round that we were actually gofers rather than golfers, our best 2 scores per hole points tally dovetailed so nicely that we managed to win the team 1st prize! This was in no small part due to the inspiring individual performances of Mr Miscampbell, who won the individual men’s prize with a mighty 42 points, and our own Marie-Anne who conquered her slice on route to a 34 points individual woman’s 3rd prize. But most importantly, Brian managed to survive a treacherous search for his ball in the river on the 15th!! We hope the nettle stings were worth it Brian!
It is always a pleasure to contribute in what way we can to Addiction NI who offer an invaluable service to people in Northern Ireland affected by addiction issues. The remarkable extent and quality of prizes given out yesterday was a credit all those involved who organised and donated. We hope targets were reached and exceeded. It was certainly a really fun day the likes of which we look forward to being involved again in the future.
