We’re pleased to welcome Amy Hayes onto our litigation team

Amy Hayes graduated from NUI Galway with a First Class Honours degree in Law with German before going on to graduate from the University of Groningen, Netherlands with a Masters in Human Rights Law. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Northern Ireland in 2022

We asked Amy some questions so that our current and future clients might get to know her better.

Tell us about your interesting academic journey.

Answer: I loved languages in school and thought that I should make the most of the opportunities they gave me. It was always very important to me to move away and experience other places before settling into my career at home in Belfast.

Why did you decide to become a solicitor?

Answer: For as long as I can remember I have been interested in a career in law. I wanted to be able to help people navigate what can be a daunting system and to do what I can to help those who need it have access to justice.

Why did you decide to specialise in litigation?

Answer: Litigation encompasses so many interesting and varied situations, allowing me to continuously learn and help people in a whole range of areas. No two days or cases are the same.

What attracted you to McCartan Turkington Breen Solicitors?

Answer: It is very well regarded within the profession, everyone has always spoken so highly of the team and the results they get for clients. I admire that the firm continuously strives to be better and do better, including giving back to the community.

What do you get up to outside of work?

Answer: I like to travel as much as possible and get to concerts when I can, aside from that I enjoy walks with the dog and keeping fit.

Is there anything you would like to tell a reader who is considering instructing our litigation department?

Answer: I would say that we understand that often clients are trying to navigate very challenging, sometimes emotional situations and we are not only here to help but to make the process as smooth and stress free as possible. We strive for the best outcome for each client.

We are expert litigation solicitors

We’re grateful to Amy for the insight into who she is as a professional and her personal ethos when it comes to helping clients.
