Cormac Rice has been an employment solicitor for most of his working life. He is passionate about this area of law and wholly dedicated to the clients he represents.
We asked Cormac some questions so that our current and future clients might get to know him better.
Tell us about your career to date.
Answer: I have worked in employment law for the entirety of my professional life, training in a niche employment practice in Newcastle upon Tyne before continuing my career in employment upon qualification in 2011 upon returning to Belfast.
Why did you decide to become a solicitor?
Answer: I was always interested in a career in law and was attracted by the changing demands of the role. The ability to help and assist others during a challenging time is always rewarding.
Why did you decide to specialise in employment law?
Answer: It is a fast paced and frequently changing area of law, constantly evolving and presenting significant demands and challenges to overcome.
What attracted you to McCartan Turkington Breen Solicitors?
Answer: I was attracted by a co-operative, friendly and supportive team, recognised as one of the best in the region, with excellent outcomes for clients in the recent past, enhanced by a firm with aspirations for growth and success.
What do you get up to outside of work?
Answer: I am busy with a young family including two children who keep me on my toes. I am a keen runner and poor footballer, time permitting!
Is there anything you would like to tell a reader who is considering instructing us on their employment matter?
Answer: I would advise any potential clients that their concerns would be treated with the upmost respect and confidentiality. We will always seek to work in their best interests to achieve the best outcome possible, as expeditiously as possible.
